So this last weekend was much like other weekends, I met up with some friends to play cards.  A group of us get together and we always have a great time, it is something we all look forward to!

This weekend was different though, one of my friends bought a professional poker table.  So now instead of the kitchen table we had a real poker table to play on!

I never would have thought this would make a difference…  It really did though!  The felt surface was very smooth and held the cards in place perfectly, it really made you feel like you were playing in Vegas even though you are at your buddies house.

The table was very well made and had folding legs, so once you were done playing, you could collapse the legs and slide it out of the way.  This was why my friends wife said it was okay!  She didn’t want it in the living room all the time, and she was very pleased with how easy it was to setup and then put away when not using it.

So of course I had to ask twenty questions, including how expensive was this thing, where did he get it etc.

What I found out was it is very affordable, especially for someone who is serious about their card playing!  Not only that but it gets shipped straight to you, so no worrying about how to get it to fit in your car!  I have a sub-compact, so trying to get a large poker table to fit was out of the question.

So, after the experience of using a professional poker table, I have decided I need one at my house as well.  After all, when it is time to host the card games, I want to continue the realistic experience.

The only difference is I want a blue table where my friend got a red one.
